Note that we require printed proof that you have a running registered business (more than 6 months old) for the Mobi Grand and the Michigan Mobi prize. Please provide a copy of the company registration document with your application or provide a link to allow us to download the file.

Note also that for the Michigan Mobi prize we also require printed proof that you live in Michigan and/or have an operating business in Michigan

MobiPrize: How does your venture or initiative meet SMART MobiPrize goals? Does it meet one or more pressing social or environmental or economic need? Is it innovative? Scalable? A successful business? A new business model? Does it connect or enhance the wider transportation system? Let the Judges know how by answering the following questions to the best of your ability.

Note also that for the Michigan Mobi prize we also require printed proof that you have an operating registered business in Michigan for more than 6 months. If you are a Michigan resident then please provide additional printed proof of your residency (like home insurance, electricity bill, etc.) as part of your application.
You are not eligible for Michigan Mobi.

Note that we require printed proof that you are an authorized representative of a government agency/department/public enterprise. (This could be a letter on company letterhead, enterprise registration, etc.)



CHECKLIST BEFORE SUBMISSION

OFFICIAL RULES & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. Organizations submitted must be submitted by or with the written consent of the owner or leader of the organization.
  2. Organizations submitted must be related to sustainable transportation (New Mobility).
  3. FOR CITY PRIZE: Applicants must be city, state or sub-national governments or government owned agencies/public enterprises.
    FOR GRAND MOBI: Must be for profit businesses (Non Profit/NGO are not eligible to apply) and legally in operation for over 6 months and legally authorized to conduct its business where its operations are located.
    FOR MICHIGAN MOBI: Must be for profit businesses (Non Profit/NGO are not eligible to apply) and legally in operation for over 6 months and legally authorized to conduct its business IN MICHIGAN.
  4. In submitting information, the entrant warrants to SMART that all information is true to the best of her/his knowledge, and agrees that all information submitted can be used and publicized in print and online by SMART for non-commercial use.
  5. All other copyright rights remain with the owners.
  6. In submitting photographs of individuals, the entrant warrants to SMART that the entrant has obtained all required rights and permission to photograph and distribute images of the persons and objects in the photograph. Entrant is solely responsible for cases in which the subjects have not granted permission and shall defend and hold harmless SMART for any alleged breach of this warranty.
  7. SMART reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not conform to the stated rules and guidelines. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that he/she/it has complied with these Official Rules. By participating in the contest, the entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and to provide all reasonable documentation SMART may request to verify the entrant’s compliance with all contest requirements. The determination by SMART of the winners will be final and binding in all matters relating to this contest.
  8. Entrants are advised that obtaining any required permissions to enter the United States are solely the responsibility of the entrant and SMART accepts no responsibility due to any inability of an entrant to travel to or enter the United States.
  9. Top finalists will be posted on the website. The winner will be notified via email between July 21st and 25th 2014.
  10. The Grand Mobi winner will receive a $15000 cash prize, while the Michigan Mobi winner will receive a $5000 cash prize. Both winners will be provided travel to Detroit, USA for the ITS World Congress where they will be awarded and will get interactive time with Mobi Prize mentors.
